Blankets WIP's Almost Finished and Just Started

I can't believe it! It's almost done.. I finished the blanket last night. Now I just need to do the edging. I am doing the edging in "Monet"; I love that color/yarn...  This is going to be for OST/CPS.  I always have done the square Corner-To-Corner blankets. I have never done one for a bed.  So I wanted to make one "Twin Sized".  For a twin sized bed (or thereabouts...)   :D   I have a huge box (well, I have three huge boxes) in my room that wasn't unpacked and I was trying to go through it the other day- it is all stuff for OST/CPS!! :0   That is going to cost an arm and a leg to mail..  But I think this blanket will fill it up.

I started another scrap blanket. I wanted to do a log cabin one again. But I didn't really follow a pattern. Just did it..  Can you tell?  :/  The one purple variegated edge is all wrong... Maybe by the time I crochet over that it will even it out.  I am using all baby scrap yarn in this. From some of these sweater sets I am posting about next.  The middle color is the "Ombre" teal color.

I had this picture for the OB Ward thread... So I might as well post it.  These were all the sets I did for the month of June. I mailed them earlier this week. I just love that teal ombre yarn. I want to get some more of it. I got it at Michaels.  I have been wanting to go there, now that Eon is out of school for the summer. (I am SOOOO happy about that, I cannot even tell you.)  I don't even want to think about next year..  Anyway.

I don't know how much I have posted about our rose bushes. We have two (actually, we noticed another baby bush is growing! So exciting..)  The first bush to bloom had dark pink beautiful roses. Well the second (taller) bush to bloom has these, absolutely gorgeous deep coral roses!! They are so beautiful. And they smell so nice, too. The pink roses didn't smell very nice.  I love these. These are long gone.  There are still roses on the bush, but they don't look so great now..

I don't know if I ever posted about the cows in a field down the road from us.  They are so funny!! I walk past this field every time I go for a walk.  Well one day all the babies (there are four- one was over to the right here) were standing there, staring at me.  It was so cute. I just had to take a picture of them.  They crack me up. I started talking to them, and they all started running around.  I guess you had to be there.    One day, I was walking down the road and noticed the farmers (?) truck by the gate. As I got closer, I saw he was loading hay right into this stall. Then I heard all the cows mooing, and saw the babies running over there.  I laughed out loud..   It was so funny.   I said to the farmer "The cows are happy."   :P   Then last night we were going to do some grocery shopping, and I looked over there, and one of the babies was up on this huge pile ? I don't know of what; and was eating.  It was just so funny.  I laughed and said "Look at that baby cow."  Eon had his head phones on (so he probably didn't hear me), and he laughed and said something about it, too. The baby cows are like big overgrown puppies. They are so cute.

I grew up on a mid sized town in the middle of farm country in Indiana. Didn't have much experience with calves but my cousins uncle ans aunt (on he dad's side) had a pig farm.

There is nothing more fun than holding a baby piggy. And, when you call, they come running too.

Young animals all are so sweet.

I love baby pigs, Paula! We do have a small barn on our property. But, I have zero experience with animals, and wouldn't know what to get/how to care for it.. The people who lived here before owned a donkey. :P
