I got this idea today... don't know how, but I think it was inspired by the Peppermint Mocha I got today.... :P
I posted the pattern on my
pattern blog if anyone would like to make one. It didn't take long at all to make.
This is a star flower bookmark I made. My second cousin (I keep wanting to call her my niece... she is the same age as our oldest son...) has been in and out of the hospital with open heart surgery. :( I wanted to send her *something*, even though I know it won't change the outcome of anything... I just wanted to let her know we have been thinking about her, and that we care. I hope she will pull through this one okay.

Its lovely, Tina! It really matches the beverage. You know, you could sell that pattern on Etsy. I've seen a lot of coffee cup cozies there, and those are even simpler ones.
I hope your cousin recovers well. She'll appreciate the thought that goes with the bookmark. Maybe you could also send her something to read.
I was thinking that I could send her something to read, too. But I don't know what kinds of books she likes. Maybe a gift certificate to a book store...
I should try to sell the cozies on etsy. I still don't know how to create a pdf file so I wouldn't be able to sell the pattern. But maybe I could submit it to the CPAD calendar, still
