Bag Lady (A Plastic Bag Holder)

...and a doll, all rolled up into one. I had been wanting to make this, from "101 Easy Scrap Crochet Projects", forever. I joined a 'Market Bag or Bag Holder' CAL on Crochet Mania. And this is what I made. I used my 'magic ball' for the top part (it just had enough, with a little left over), and mostly scraps for the stripes in the skirt, and the arms and head/bag were not scraps... That's what I love about crocheting: Making something out of 'nothing'... And this is useful. Although, it doesn't even hold one bag full of bags. Oh well. I can take the rest back to the store to recycle. Or keep saving them to crochet with... (Sigh...)

That is a charming bag lady, Tina ;)
Hope you can just use cloth canvas bags when you shop. I am able to do this for most of my purchases. I have been relieved of having to stack up plastic bags or going to the trouble of reusing or disposing of the store bags...

I have been trying to remember my canvas bags and crocheted ones; for when I only am getting a few things. But even if I bring it in with me, I still forget to use it. :P (I think you already saw my FB post about that... lol)

It is really difficult to do at first (esp. if you have kids that distract you from remembering...). I've heard this a lot of times: it takes 21 days to form a new habit or get rid of an old one :p
