You are "supposed" to use a Mason Jar. But I used an old salsa jar from the recycling bin. I used this idea to get the sticky glue junk left on the jar, and it worked! I started to worry, if that is what peanut butter does to the gunk on a jar, what does it do to your stomach?... But, I think it is the peanut oil in the peanut butter. Because when I googled "how to get the gunk off glass jars", a couple sites said using some kind of oils and something else.. Anyway. Here is where I saw the idea to make this jar. I added the ribbon and leaf thingy.. Not bad for the price of paint. ($1) |

I have used a hair dryer to take off price tags. Guess the heat softens the glue.
