I had to ASK if they liked it (and try to see if she would say thank you), and she said 'Oh I don't like her to wear it, it gets all stretched out on the back of the neck.' ?!!! :0 Talk about looking a gift horse in the mouth!! Some people just are ungrateful, I think. (Among other things....)

Yes, 21 is young. I was 22 when I had our oldest and I think I was way too young, then.Tinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16887318294287047220noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14093327.post-30274380697312023632008-09-12T20:55:00.000-07:002008-09-12T20:55:00.000-07:00My youngest sister (the one in UK), said she not t...My youngest sister (the one in UK), said she not thrilled with the news of my niece getting pregnant - mostly because she's falling behind. She's 30 and not having a baby yet :p
Your sister is still young to have a baby at 21...

Anyway, talk about my sis not appreciating my work...I thought I saw some interest in her liking the black shrug (the one she modeled for me...) so I gave it to her. But since then she didn't mention it, and most likely did not wear it. (knowing her from previous experience) I don't know. The least she could do would be just to tell me that she wore it.Mimihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18083410586195970499noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14093327.post-86067640490446604412008-09-12T20:33:00.000-07:002008-09-12T20:33:00.000-07:00Thanks, Mimi. (This is her second husband, too.) :0 My Mom just told me today that my sister was in the hospital because she gained ten pounds in one week (pre-eclampsia?) and her blood pressure was high. But she's doing better now. (I don't know what day it was she was in there....)

:0 I don't know how anyone could NOT be a fan of your work, Mimi!Tinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16887318294287047220noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14093327.post-78615789687336027262008-09-12T16:51:00.000-07:002008-09-12T16:51:00.000-07:00I love it how you create a blanket design just by ...I love it how you create a blanket design just by changing colors. Looking forward to see it finished.
I have yet to make my first afghan and it'll probably be for a baby. Don't know if I mentioned this before, my 24 yr-old niece is pregnant (they're not married yet) and due this January. I would love to make baby stuff, but my older sister and her daughters are not really fans of my work :p

Its starting to get cooler here too - so conducive to crochet :)Mimihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18083410586195970499noreply@blogger.com
