Some Older Pictures, But I Never Posted About Them...

At least I don't think I have. I might have posted a couple (I know I posted the birthday card). Anyway, this is a Friendship Tea gift tea bag holder. I posted about getting the stamps for this.  I was making a little Birthday Puffy to send to one of my Pen Pals..

I crocheted her this tea mug mat. I saw some bunnyknitter had done, and tried to copy hers but in darker colors.  Nothing fancy. But.. Something to set your tea mug on so you don't leave water marks on your table.

I saw these at Target.  Sue loves paper stuff, so I thought she might like them (I know I did).

A picture I took of (almost) everything. I also bought her a handsewn Button bag (because I was also sending her a bunch of buttons- which I also didn't take a picture of), and a little cute saying I printed out on card stock and cut out to put in with the buttons ` "Moms are like buttons - They hold everything together."   The button bag I bought from one of my favorite Etsy sellers, you can find her Etsy Shop here:  rsislandcrafts Etsy Store. She makes the cutest Monogrammed Letter Bags (which is what I originally wanted to get, but then I saw the button bag and had to get it. (I wish I would have taken a picture of it!) She does wonderful work. I couldn't sew a zipper in if my life depended on it. :P

And this is the card I made her.  I need to make another one, for another pen pal.  I don't think I will do one like this. I kind of wanted to another butterfly one.  Maybe a little different, though. I really love this one. But, I don't have a lacy butterfly punch...  I will have to dig through all my supplies...  I could definitely do one like this..  Oooo, or this one, I love this one.  This one I could do, as well.   If I get to work, instead of going online looking for ideas.... O.o

And I do have something else to show for myself. ;P  I finished another strip on the scrap strips afghan. This is strip #3.  It's my "Watching TV Project". Or should I say, "Watching Netflix Project"?  I think two more strips will be big enough to make a blanket.  I've also been working on the scrap log cabin baby blanket.  I am on the last of the second small strips (does that make sense?)..  I was worried about the purple variegated edge. Crocheting over it did cover it up, but I can still kind of tell..  Maybe washing/blocking it will take care of it.  Note to self: Next time don't be so lazy, and get up and get the pattern.  Lol.

Angels and Butterflies

I don't think I ever posted about the purple angel I crocheted..  This was back in May.  I just wanted to crochet something fun. Not for the OB Ward. Not for OST/CPS...   Just for fun.   I don't remember why I did a purple one, if I did it specifically to give to my sister-in-law, or thought "I should give this to her, she loves purple;" after I made it.  Anyway. There it is.

Top view.  I gave it to her a while ago. With the plant baby I put in a pot..  (Funny side note, the plant is also purple. Lol) But I gave her the plant because it was the only plant I had so far, and a piece broke off/I made a new plant from it.  I just thought, "The plant was purple too."  A Wandering Jew plant.

This one I actually just finished last night.  In baby yarn, with Vanna's Choice something or other...  It's silver sparkly yarn.

This one I did in between the first two I posted. :P   In worsted weight, like the purple one. But with Christmas red sparkly yarn.   I do not have a link to this pattern, it's one someone mailed to me. Sorry.

Here they are next to each other so you can see the difference in size..

Yesterday, I saw a huge beautiful yellow and black Tiger Swallowtail Butterfly, on my flowers. I ran to grab my camera. This picture stinks. I don't know if you can make out the butterfly. I could see it better with my bad eyes than this picture. Sheesh.  It was so beautiful! I texted my husband and told him "It was just like the one we saw in our driveway the day we were leaving Tennessee." He said "It followed us."   I don't know why, but it got me so emotional...   :(  I said "It's a sign..."

This is a picture our son Eli took of the butterfly in TN.   I googled "What does it mean when you see a butterfly?"
Some people think it is a dead loved one coming back to you.   Maybe it was my Grandma, saying "Have a safe trip" when we were leaving Tennesee." And, "Things will get better"  yesterday...  This is what I thought it might mean.   Since the first six months of living here have been utter hell.  Things are a little better since we moved out of those apartments, but I still have not been happy.  I keep trying to get myself out of this funk.  I don't know if I ever will. But, seeing the butterfly yesterday just made me happy.

The Scrap C2C Blanket Is Done!

After I posted about the blanket this morning, I worked on the edge. And finished it! :D  I am so happy with it. It isn't the prettiest blanket in the world, but I love it. And I hope the child/teen who receives it will, too.  :)

Blankets WIP's Almost Finished and Just Started

I can't believe it! It's almost done.. I finished the blanket last night. Now I just need to do the edging. I am doing the edging in "Monet"; I love that color/yarn...  This is going to be for OST/CPS.  I always have done the square Corner-To-Corner blankets. I have never done one for a bed.  So I wanted to make one "Twin Sized".  For a twin sized bed (or thereabouts...)   :D   I have a huge box (well, I have three huge boxes) in my room that wasn't unpacked and I was trying to go through it the other day- it is all stuff for OST/CPS!! :0   That is going to cost an arm and a leg to mail..  But I think this blanket will fill it up.

I started another scrap blanket. I wanted to do a log cabin one again. But I didn't really follow a pattern. Just did it..  Can you tell?  :/  The one purple variegated edge is all wrong... Maybe by the time I crochet over that it will even it out.  I am using all baby scrap yarn in this. From some of these sweater sets I am posting about next.  The middle color is the "Ombre" teal color.

I had this picture for the OB Ward thread... So I might as well post it.  These were all the sets I did for the month of June. I mailed them earlier this week. I just love that teal ombre yarn. I want to get some more of it. I got it at Michaels.  I have been wanting to go there, now that Eon is out of school for the summer. (I am SOOOO happy about that, I cannot even tell you.)  I don't even want to think about next year..  Anyway.

I don't know how much I have posted about our rose bushes. We have two (actually, we noticed another baby bush is growing! So exciting..)  The first bush to bloom had dark pink beautiful roses. Well the second (taller) bush to bloom has these, absolutely gorgeous deep coral roses!! They are so beautiful. And they smell so nice, too. The pink roses didn't smell very nice.  I love these. These are long gone.  There are still roses on the bush, but they don't look so great now..

I don't know if I ever posted about the cows in a field down the road from us.  They are so funny!! I walk past this field every time I go for a walk.  Well one day all the babies (there are four- one was over to the right here) were standing there, staring at me.  It was so cute. I just had to take a picture of them.  They crack me up. I started talking to them, and they all started running around.  I guess you had to be there.    One day, I was walking down the road and noticed the farmers (?) truck by the gate. As I got closer, I saw he was loading hay right into this stall. Then I heard all the cows mooing, and saw the babies running over there.  I laughed out loud..   It was so funny.   I said to the farmer "The cows are happy."   :P   Then last night we were going to do some grocery shopping, and I looked over there, and one of the babies was up on this huge pile ? I don't know of what; and was eating.  It was just so funny.  I laughed and said "Look at that baby cow."  Eon had his head phones on (so he probably didn't hear me), and he laughed and said something about it, too. The baby cows are like big overgrown puppies. They are so cute.
